Lorie Stout

Lorie Stout started working in the promotional products industry in the late 80’s.  At that time she was production manager of a canvas bag manufacturing and screen printing facility.  After 13 years in this position she and Alex opened STOUTgear.  Her knowledge of the complete order cycle is evident in the customer service and creative product selection for STOUTgear’s customer needs.

Through her career Lorie has had many interests and has volunteered in many capacities.  Her primary love is sailing.  Her sailing career included world level competition, sailing mom, and she is currently spending her sailing time cruising the Chesapeake Bay.

As all things boating interest her, about a decade ago Lorie reached out to involve others in the sport of sailing.  She first founded the non-profit Chessie Jr Racing which introduced high school sailors to the sport of big boat sailing.  From there she founded Annapolis Community Boating which makes boating accessible and affordable to all.

To satisfy her creative side, Lorie spends many hours doing stitching projects.  These range from needlepoint to creating room décor.  She smiles every time she uses her little Kenmore sewing machine that keeps chugging right along.  Her Christmas season is always spent making needlepoint or quilting gifts.

Lorie’s family is very important to her.  Throughout the year many days, holidays, and vacations are spent with family members who for the most part are located on the Eastern Seaboard.  It is not unusual at Thanksgiving and Christmas for the clan of over 25 to get together.
